FAQs - Answers to All Your Tire Service Questions
Do you have questions about your car's tires? Our Jeff Wyler Honda in Florence team is here to help out.
What Types of Tires Are Available and How Do I Choose the Right One?
With so many types of tires available, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Tires range in size, season, performance, and capability, with different options available for each type of vehicle. You'll want to figure out what size tire your car needs and then decide what type of tire you're looking for. Some options include performance tires, off-roading tires, summer and winter tires, all-seasons, and more.
What Do the Numbers on the Sidewall Mean?
The numbers on every tire are a code to help you determine what type of tire it is. This code could look something like P215/65R15 95H. This code helps you identify the tire type (P), tire width (215 mm), tire aspect ratio (65), tire construction type (R), wheel diameter (15 inches), load index (95), and speed rating (H).

Do I Need to Rotate My Tires?
If you don't regularly change your car's tires for each season, you'll need to have your tires rotated every 5,000 to 7,500 miles. This helps keep your tires wearing evenly.
How Do I Know When My Tires Need to Be Replaced?
It's important to replace your car's tires when they are damaged, have low tread, or are more than six years old. If you notice any bulging, cracks, or dents, those are signs that it's time to replace the tires. If your tread depth is less than 2/32 inches or the tires won't hold air pressure, you'll want to purchase new tires soon.
What is the Difference Between Run-Flat Tires and Regular Tires?
Run-flat tires (RFTs) are designed with a reinforced sidewall. This helps you keep moving even when your tire has been punctured. They are more expensive than regular tires, but the cost may be worth it if you run into an issue.

Why Should You Balance and Align Your Tires?
When your car's tires are out of alignment or unbalanced, they add excess wear to your vehicle, provide less fuel efficiency, and can make your drive around Alexandria, Cincinnati, or Covington jarring.
